8ctopod by CLRKNWL
My last album explored my interpretation of electronic dub music. The tracks on this new release "8ctopod" head back to CLRKNWL's homeland of pure acid-tinged electronic sounds. Bleeps, bloops, stubborn robotic backbone. Standing apart from the world of techno, but influenced by dub and bass music.
These are not the sounds you would hear in a club; they follow on from lineage of 80s and 90s electronic dance music pioneers, embracing equipment limitations and reveling in pure electronic tones.
(Octopod was the Metropolitan police code name of an operation to dismantle the Clerkenwell crime syndicate.)
