St John's from Stray by Christine Graves
Far over a continent to the East Coast and Newfoundland. My first trip to this city found me experiencing culture shock. Well this came as a shock since I am an east coaster. But it was a worthwhile trip to help me discover the heart of the toughest part of our country of Canada IMO. I met songwriters, comedians, the host of Quirks and Quarks which still airs on CBC radio and experienced my first high winds over 100 km/hr. I was glad to get back to the mainland. Maybe this song is cultural appropriation but I call it a bit of cultural appreciation.
