All a photo is
Is a memory
Captured in a jar
And I long to set
The captives free
But I'm so scared
That if I press delete
I may lose
A smile that
I will someday need

All coffee is
Is a marching band
Playing in my mind
And I long to find
A quiet place
But I'm so scared
That if I cut out caffeine
I may lose
What I called
My personality

Time builds hillsides on my forehead
The river is a net cast by the sea
The summer wind leaves wrinkles on the water
And life leaves wrinkles on me

All a mattress is
Is a place you know
And people that know you
And though I long to go
Somewhere new
I'm so scared
That if I sleep on the floor
I may lose sleep
And increase
my anxiety
