Lo-fi musings, before I owned an MPC2000, so casio beats and anything goes. 1997/98. Just after Getting Warm on the Trail of Heat CD..

headphones recommended, lots of panning

(1,7) an actual old school tape voicemail from Todd Sentz calling me to play some basketball

(2,11) samples from the movie Meetings with Remarkable Men, based on the book of the same name by Greek-Armenian mystic, G. I. Gurdjieff

(4)I I bought an old turntable at an NPR yard sale for $1.00, then piled a bunch of scratched records onto it and it became a sampled/looped/four-tracked free for all.I love it because it is so noisy. If you can make it through the whole thing, there are a few moments here and there that are worthwhile.

(7-10) we aspired to do a live hip hop project and Skip Ntro aka Josef Lowe provided stellar vocal leadership in our only attempt. this was lo-fi by necessity.

samples from Drum n Bass for Papa by Plug (Luke Vibert)

(12) some random radio sample that is not actually you in the shitter

(13) Aphex Twin and Marcel Duchamp samples
