Helium by Christopher Braide
Helium was written by Chris Braide and Sia as an uptempo pop track and is presented here for the first time in its original, unreleased form, featuring Braide’s vocal and production.
The song took a decisive turn when a film company heard the track during early submissions for Fifty Shades Darker and requested a more stripped-back version. Rather than simply reducing the arrangement, Braide rebuilt the song from the ground up — rewriting the chords, replaying the track, and reshaping its emotional centre.
That re-imagined version, with Sia’s newly recorded vocal, is the recording featured in the film.
This release returns Helium to its original incarnation: the first spark, before the transformation.
