Spot Tonight by Choosy Lover

“Spot Tonight” is the Soul Clap Records debut single from the modern funk and disco troupe Choosy Lover. The project is a true family affair from within the world of Soul Clap.

Vocalists DCB Pablito (formerly of George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic) and Ebony Houston (frequent Soul Clap guest and P-Funk associate) bring both cleverly crafted hip-hop stanzas and lush vocal melodies to this upbeat dance jam.

“Spot Tonight” is a tasty musical affair with Caribbean flavors bubbling on top of a thick slab of pulsating Nu-disco driven by group’s keyboard wizard Morgan WIley (formerly of Midnight Magic and Adi Oasis, contributor to FSQ, and currently working with Natasha Diggs) and trumpeter Carter Yatsuke (Midnight Magic).

Also in the group are guitarist Jaleel Bunton, and drummer Caito Sanchez (Midnight Magic / 79.5).

Expect a full length album from Choosy Lover later this summer titled “Bang My Line”.

Choosy Lover started when Morgan Wiley and DCB Pablito connected in New York through mutual friends from Parliament Funkadelic & Soul Clap. From the very first studio session, the creative spark caught flame, and ignited a super prolific undeniable collaborative energy that has brought forth a refreshing collection of jams for the world to enjoy.
