I have beliefs about how things are supposed to be
and I try so hard to make it so.
I've thrown my life into a black hole
of should's and shouldn'ts, oh
and I fear that I lost him in it long ago.

I thought I was waiting for him to grow into me,
but I'm a seed blowing in the wind lately.

I want to make the same mistake again
and have it end differently this time.
I want to be wrong about what I think I
know about love.
The misleading part of stories and films and
other kinds of art is that
endings are contrived.
They don't exist in real life.

I thought I was waiting for my blissful bloom to begin
but I'm a seed blowing in the wind.

I wilted when the harvest season began.
Then the earth was frozen
I rested my bones and
now I'm a seed blowing in the wind again.
