Wishing Well from Still Life by Charlie Pink

Wishing Well has a 6/8 rhythmic feel that subtly shifts and changes throughout the song. The theme of the song is the loss of things that were once commonplace, be it physical or social and reflecting the changes of the current (political) era. There are two polarising themes at play here, one is of escapism, and the need to 'get lost'. The other is a call for us all to 'stand together' against those who wear masks and to try to see a deeper sense of what is happening in our world, our country, our neighborhoods, though we will all end up being 'stuck in the mud', whether we are happy with this ideal or not.
