Memory by Chai Melodies

Hey everyone!

Last year was a very enduring year for me. I explored the country and was forced to grow and in doing so the part of me that wrote music also changed. It felt as through that endurance, two ghosts manifested - one being the me of the past. These ghosts kept me from being write a lot last year due to those changes. It felt empty. However, I found comfort writing melodies in the piano's somber tones.

And yet, I could only really write about the greif that weighed heavy in my heart. The greif of two ghosts who in another existence, may have been able to be happy. This music is about them, and saying goodbye.

This album is called Memory so I don't forget the happiness of those two ghosts -- even though they are no longer here, I still sometimes see and hear them as I pass areas in my travels and think, "Wouldn't they have smiled about this?"

One phrase in French feels poetic:

mon seul soulhait est ton soleil
