Excess by FAKETHIAS

The Norwegian experimentalist impresses with a significant stylistic shift on guitar-driven EP
‘Excess’, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the artist. Known for his abrasive and multifaceted sound, ‘Excess’ is FAKETHIAS’ first release to feature his own vocals and the use of live instruments. The EP is a prelude to the Norwegian artist’s highly anticipated debut album, which is due to
be released later this year.

Recorded between Oslo, Bergen and London over the past two years, ‘Excess’ stands out
as the artist's most personal and mature work to date. Written from guitar demos dating back
to 2020, the EP is based around emotive and introspective songwriting, exploring reactions
to loss and existential uncertainty.
