The Buchla 200e is an instrument that transcends traditional electronic sound design, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Ellipsis was crafted entirely with the Buchla 200e as its sonic foundation, creating a rich and immersive auditory experience.

The sounds of Ellipsis occupy a unique space where pure electronics, musique concrète, microsound, and ASMR intersect. Natural sounds are processed through the 200e, blending seamlessly with electronic textures to form a palette that includes delicate, tactile 'head sounds' reminiscent of glass, metal, plastic, and wood. These elements are designed to stimulate the brain’s more receptive pathways, engaging listeners on a deeper sensory level.

This album is incredibly detailed, existing in a universe and atmosphere entirely its own. Sound is treated as a living organism, and many textures evoke breathing, sentient forms. The unfamiliar is a recurring theme, yet subtle references to reality playfully anchor the listener in familiar territory.
