So you shut the door, muted the noise, and just started messing around in the studio—no goal, no pressure. You weren’t trying to make a track; you were trying to feel something again. Layer by layer, sound by sound, “KURRIKA” emerged.
It wasn’t polished or planned—it was instinctive. A raw reconnection. Heavy, loud, unfiltered—like waking up.
This wasn’t about getting back to music.
It was about letting music come back to you.
Capas aka Phil Wilkins is a multi instrumentalist and producer based in Worcestershire, focusing on electronic and live recordings to create a cinematic sound. Taken from many years of listenings to influential artists/experiences, this is the back bone of his work and is fundamental to developing a personal style. Working in many forms taking inspiration from electronica, Dub, Trip hop, House.
