Autumn Hurricane by Cantharellus

Alaska-based shoegaze, gliding fuzzed-out vintage surf guitars (Jazzmasters, Jaguars) through cranked british amps like its 1991. High intensity high art sensibilities filtered through a germanium wonderland. This is some OG-level 'gaze reflecting 20+ years of experience, and not to be missed! Perfect for fans of My Bloody Valentine, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Ride, Primal Scream, Dinosaur Jr., Lilys, Lush, Suede, Fleeting Joys, MBV... but unique in its own right.

Eschewing studio shenanigans, Cantharellus has focused on maintaining the live sound of two giant mono guitar tracks grinding at top fuzz through live, loud british amps, letting harmonic overload work its magic. Shoegaze aficionados will recognize this as the original secret sauce formula of the genre.

This is the 5-year anniversary/relaunch of the band's debut album, Autumn Hurricane, which entered the universe with a furious intensity and subsequently went immediately into obscurity, the way you would only expect something recorded in isolation on an island in Alaska to do. We're putting it out on Bandcamp to get it more of the attention it deserves.
