Following off the back of his recent single release ‘Template’ on unknown untitled, London-based producer Cameo Blush returns to Ross From Friends’ label Scarlet Tiger. The three-track ‘Silkworm’ EP will be released on the 25th November, with the title track released on the 11th November.
Named one of Mixmag’s Top 25 Artists to Watch in 2022, Cameo Blush is quickly becoming renowned for his euphoric, rave-ready productions which can be found on ‘Silkworm’. All three tracks on the EP are filled with character and flair from the introspective title track to the glistening anthemic approach to ‘Fantasy’. The final track ‘Don’t’ is a little different from the producer’s usual style as it centers around a slower, dancehall-esque rhythm. There’s one thing that all of these tracks have in common and that is Cameo Blush’s knack for using vocal samples to stir emotions.
Alongside a string of mixes - including for Dummy and the Feel My Bicep mixtape series - the producer has taken his live show to revered clubs such as Corsica Studios, Phonox and e1. Previous releases include Seb Wildblood’s all my thoughts and Nick Höppner’s Touch From A Distance, as well as remixes for Prospa and Aleksandir.
Scarlet Tiger was launched by Ross From Friends in 2021 with the first release by the founder himself. The label went on to release acclaimed EPs from Cameo Blush and Giulia Tess. Each release feels pretty raw and personal, Ross From Friends explains, ‘there seems to be a general path that flows through all of the things that grab me which is some kind of UK electronic music.’
