I recorded the piano sequence at 5:43 AM, when the city belonged only to street cleaners and early risers—those moments when light seems to pass through concrete rather than bounce off it. The recursive piano figure wasn't composed so much as discovered, a six-note sequence that kept appearing in our field recordings at traffic intersections.

The track's deliberate restraint creates a sense of suspended anticipation, like watching the grid of a city awaken but viewing it from a distance where individual movements blur into collective patterns.
