Three consecutive days of sleeplessness gave birth to "Sum Street" when our sequencer malfunctioned during a late-night recording session. Rather than scrapping the session, we embraced the glitch—allowing this beautiful accident to evolve into the album's emotional centerpiece. The mathematics went wonderfully wrong.

Electronic pulses accumulate with deliberate patience beneath block piano chords, mimicking the way urban environments layer human movement atop rigid infrastructures. We positioned microphones at the intersection of 23rd and Meridian, capturing the natural arithmetic of city life—footsteps, traffic signals, conversations—and translated these patterns into our composition framework.
