Puppeteer from Iter by Calgolla
A gothic fairy tale in song form. The puppeteer who pulls the strings becomes a metaphor for the loss of autonomy and the subtle manipulation that permeates our age, through surreal images and nursery rhyme-like repetitions that compose a warped and perturbing emotional landscape. The juxtaposition of childlike motifs and references to the afterlife creates a space of tension between innocence and melancholy, recounting the loss of control and awareness of mortality, in a crescendo that culminates in a detached farewell to the world.

Calgolla was born from an attempt to combine different contemporary sub-genres of rock music with the spoken word, influenced by the beat poetry of the 1960s and the poetry slams.
It is a project that works on the song form, winking and trying to integrate more open musical forms (free-jazz, neue music, math rock). To this end, the songs often feature long outros.
