There’s a ghost that haunts the borders
and a ghost that haunts the stream
i’ve been drinking holy water
trying to run my body clean
i shut all of the windows
and i boarded up the house
i tell the family stay inside
until we run the evil out
but there’s a ghost that haunts the basement
so we don’t go down there no more
it scares the kids to death when she
comes banging on the door
i don’t know what good can happen
i don’t what cures can work
but johnny’s looking half alive
and the girl keeps getting worse

lost my wife last may and
she keeps hanging around my room
i won’t let the kids come see her though
can’t let them know the truth
i never thought that she would do that
i never thought that i would too
she stays quiet in the corner
still swinging from that noose
i gotta get them out
no they can’t live a life like this
they need quiet they need safety
i need a bullet past my lips
i’ve been thinking about forever
and if forever feels like this
we’d be better off all in the ground
where forever don’t exist

and the haunts have started taunting

and my children run throughout the house

burn the house to ash and smoke
