Arise!
Saints arise, we’ve died to the law to serve another, the Holy One of God, but evil lurks in shadows of death, the curse of Adam within our rotting flesh.
Evil lies close at hand.
Wretched man that I am.
Who can save me from sin?
This body of death!
We are flesh and prisoners of our sin, waging war against our spirit within.
The holy law reveals our nature; we’re sons of Adam, finite, wretched creatures.
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ who fulfilled the law; the worthy sacrifice, who from the dead, was raised to life that we may serve God through the Spirit of life.
Thanks be to God above through Jesus Christ His son who has saved us from this body of death.
