Moving west got me thinking more about outter space and hippie stuff, which is a no brainer for white kids and hip hop. Since there really was no social inequality to write about or violence and crime, spirituality was the go to. It was either that or nerd core which was I would borderline classify my work as. I would like to think that my later work could carry any of the serious New York rappers that I aspired to be like. I will never know. From a musical stand point, I identified more with the Black Militant groups and underground stuff that the Wu was putting out, only because it was so dark. Harmonically I was more attracted to it then the 7L Esoteric, MF Doom stuff. Though I did have a tremendous love for Doomsday and all the other underground stuff that popped up in the early 2000's, it didnt connect as hard as the Sunz of Man, or Kilarmy stuff.
