angel eggs by our blue heaven

portland-via-san diego duo Our Blue Heaven are a wonderful amalgamation of a plethora of musics. The duo of Xan Burress and Joni Mueller bounce around everywhere from bubbly synth driven beats, to electronic soundscapes with phased out ethereal vocals, to digitally processed guitar soli freakouts, to sampled choral chants: it all fits nicely into their insular world. Traversing between this very precise realm of recording and the beautiful, creative, chaotic world of their improvised live shows is very inspiring, like many organisms coexisting in the same ecosystem together. It's really magical to behold both in person and on the disc we present to you today.
