"I dug up this track from some old Logic 5 sessions dating back to 2006. It carries a rare groove vibe that's too good to keep buried, so I'm sharing it with you 18 years later!
What makes this track special is the creative use of samples—lifted out of their original harmonic context—to complement my composition. At the time, I was mostly producing hip-hop beats, so the samples here act more as decorative layers rather than the foundation of the track.
I started with a drum break and a vocal chop from the same source, using them as a spark for inspiration. From there, I laid down a bassline that naturally locked with the rhythm, setting the stage for a Soul Jazz Dance influenced structure. The story unfolds through the Rhodes, which takes center stage as the lead instrument.
Despite some subtle anachronisms, the track feels like a genuine vintage gem, thanks to the unique alchemy of its elements. I hope you enjoy this trip back in time!"

I used the EVP88 (kind of best modelised rhodes by that time) which is cheap comparing to what you can get nowadays but still doing the job.
