Eventually… again

I was at a garage sale a little bit ago, and I (naturally) spied a guitar. The owner said he wasn’t sure if he wanted to sell it, he may want to pick it up and play it…eventually, and then he or his wife said…again. Needless to say, the phrase struck me funny and clearly stuck with me.
Fast forward to earlier this year, and while writing some new material, we started going through some of our “back catalogue” and saw that there were a lot of songs that had never seen the light of day as it were. Songs that were either recorded in the early days, or had been written later and never “committed to tape” for various reasons. Listening to those early songs, it was interesting to see how we had changed in a lot of ways, but also were the same in other ways, especially our influences, from the Invasion sounds that first infected us to the Canyon sounds we seem to mostly work in, and anything in between, as the mood and song dictate… the wand chooses the wizard always. Some of these songs go back to our very earliest attempts to see if, as George Harrison once said… if we could even write a song. Some were redone if for no other reason than we actually learned how to use the studio properly and could better serve both the song and the listener. A couple of things that haven’t changed however, are that we still get the same kick out of hearing the finished product… and that every song has a story attached to it. So here are some stories, many old ones, and some new ones.
To that end, it seemed like “Eventually… Again” was an apt title.
We hope they were worth the wait.
