The days I still wished were here. This is my last goodbye. The desert is where we bury our thoughts. It’s where we bury our wrongs, our secrets. The sand is where we rot. The desert is where I lay down my head. It’s where I lay down my sorrow, my worries. It’s where I’m left for dead. Now I’m too old to die young. It’s like they say: ‘no good thing ever dies’. But when I’m out here I stare death in the eye. It’s the price. My sacrifice.
