In the summer of 2024, multigenre Uzbekistani musician Alexey Polyakov—known for his work with the bands and —launched an electronic project called 19:34. Under this new moniker, Alexey began producing atmospheric tracks inspired by the works of Vangelis and '80s synthwave. 19:34’s debut album is scheduled for release later this year.
Polyakov has also been composing music for theater and film for many years. His most acclaimed soundtracks include the one for Michael Borodin’s 2018 short film Normal, which was featured at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as the much-talked-about 2022 drama Convenience Store (also directed by Borodin), which won an award at the Berlin International Film Festival.
The brand new single “Dolphins” is part of an upcoming album inspired by the soundtracks of late Soviet-era animated films.
