Crestfallen by The Mercy Suite

The Mercy Suite: Leeds punk rock celebrities playing "...machine-gun skate punk with a hardcore-tinged swagger".

A few years after the release of their debut EP, TMS guitarist Bobby left for colder climes (aka his home country of Sweden) leaving the band looking for a third member.

To make life easier Iz took Bobby's place on guitar allowing drum vet David Allen (ex-Vengeance of Gaia/Voorhees/The Sex Maniacs/The Horror) to join the band behind the kit. The result was a new, sleeker, though perhaps more weathered looking, TMS... And Crestfallen was recorded with this line-up throughout the winter of 2004/05.

Upon it's release Big Cheese magazine got chuffed: "One of the most underrated bands on the Bombed Out roster, The Mercy Suite have finally managed to capture their incredibly energetic live sound on record.", while Punktastic said "'Crestfallen' is fast and furious and barely leaves you a second to catch your breath".

An über-tour with The Mercury League (hot licks and dope riffs ensued) followed but alas the band called it a day soon after.
