fractured (demos) by bluemoongirl

made in early 2023.
these were supposed to be on my second album, but i gave up halfway, decided to quit and isolated myself from everyone and everything. it was cathartic... recording the demos; i have bawled my eyes out before recording 'amethyst', formerly known as 'barlington mint', we were struggling to record 'obstacles' because... there were various obstacles against us in the studio, and 'the story goes' was... well, it went by smoothly.
consider this as a parting gift for you... whatever good that's left in me were planted in the demos. i figured i'd have to stop explaining myself someday, and for you to take it or leave it. we'll see how that goes.
anyway...
thank you to the people i have collaborated with in the past for Bluemoongirl;
Fadhlan, you were a guiding light post-Life/Time EP and i have grown (personally, and musically) because of it; best decision. I am happy Bluemoongirl's discography is a time capsule for our shared history. Thank you for twentythree EP, 1996 album, 'Cry', Beachbeach and for 'Crazy 4 U'. Thank you for your writings, and songs. The simple fact that we could perform together after everything was proof of your good character. I am grateful and (sort of) awake now more than ever. Georgia Melt is still a comfort. I am proud of you and will always cheer you on.
Aizat, you have helped me more than you know, and i can't thank you enough for your support and contributions... for bringing Adam into the mix for 'Jr.', and Labyrinth EP, and 'Let Me Down Easy'. Additionally, because of you, my twentythree EP was pressed on a 7inch and that 'Jr.' was played on BBC Radio 1 Cumbria. Thank you for helping me grow too, you were one of the people I was inspired by.
Hadi, you are talented and capable, happy to see you grow and thrive. Thank you for playing bass on 'Girl'.
Adrian, I respect you as a musician, and person. You and Surf Vampires will always be the torchbearers of the independent music scene, and I am proud of you for still breathing, beating, bleeding. Thank you for 'Subang Jaya', and '27 years'.
Shadowman and the DIG brothers, you have taught me so much about life, faith, and the importance of finding my people. Not many would understand it, but they weren't in my shoes to begin with. The art of letting go is to remind ourselves that it's already willed, and there is ease in hardship. Will always be enthralled, and moved.
Haris, I consider one of the best achievements being Bluemongirl was being your older sister in the scene and I cannot begin to type out just how proud I am of you. Do not let anyone dim your light, but don't forget to be kind and gentle too. Thank you for your endless support, and 'I'll Think of Something', '21st Century Man' and that one song we did together end of last year.
Shasha, you were always the first one I would go to whenever I have written or made something new. You were my #1 and no one could compare to that. The grief I have been carrying since the disintegration has not been easy by any means, the tide sometimes gets higher and higher and you know I can't swim. You were a crucial part of Bluemoongirl's journey but that's the way things go. I am happy for you and thank you.
Thank you to my peers, friends and family for your love, affirmations, assurance and support.
Honourable mentions: Duran, William, James, Chief, Small Fish, Zim, Hafeez, Usup, Chlorine band, Nol, Ardy, Amin, Matt, Rydas, Budj, Wisyah, Redz, Hong Li, JY, Perry, Aeriel, Qidah, Farah, Mona, Asyran, Azmyl, Zanorezeky, the RTB crew and talents, Mindscape brothers, Sweetass, Noh, New Wave Films, Smashing Pumpkins for reposting my cover of 'Drown', DKFM, BBC Radio 1 Cumbria, GrrrlMusic, Blankslate, and most importantly, Entes Anomicos -- muchas gracias, Carlos.
I appreciate all of you.
