It keeps getting worse after each and every year
The leaves haven't changed yet the decoration appear
Costco has their tree up before the fall
buying costume's in October is impossible

Black Friday Black Fridays now starts on Thursday
Causing all the workers to work on Thanksgiving
There's not much "thanking" going around
When half your family is not even around

Giving gifts should come from the heart
Why do we need a day to remind us of that part?
Christmas is far from a religious holiday
it's super bowl of spending our money away

Here's to the department stores long since past
your capitalistic teaching really did last
Seems like nothing can reverse our ways
