Watchman by Blaque Nubon
Blaque Nubon's debut studio album, the title is inspired by Ezekiel 33, where the Lord tells Ezekiel to be a "watchman" of his city and that's what this album seeks to encapsulate and hopefully also articulate concerns for the city of his birth. The idea is to present a "watchman" at the city gates of Jozi, with the Gospel of Christ Jesus as both the lens by which he views a dying city and the means he offers by which the city may be saved.

Nubon rather introduces a side of Christian hip hop that is distinctly driven by the desire to worship and glorify the God of the bible, while based in the context of east rand hip hop roots and shaped by influences like 70’s soul, dark/vocal classic samples and electronic music.
