For the meaning of "Aether" we must look back to Hellenism, Neoplatonism, Plotinus and Gnosticism.
The Three Hypostasis which can be summed as the gnostic Trinity, The One is the pure and first principle (Good), the material world (Bad) is not part of the three Hypostasis but it sill has the divine sparkling of The One even if it's faded.
The 4 parts of this Album "Aether" are the 4 material elements, the 5th is Aether itself.
But The One or Aether is the only first pure and divine principle we can contemplate "behind" or in these 4 elements.
The Music created here is nothing but a creation of and for the Soul to ascend/unite with The One/God/Aether.
