Downtime by libitum
These demo tracks were composed during fragmented time slots throughout the day, over a period of three months.
I sat with all new pieces of music hardware and started recording jams on the fly without the real intention of creating something but rather exploring how all the instruments and sounds could fit together.
After few months of experimentation this is the final result for you to enjoy.
The majority of the music and inspiration for it comes from nanoloop mono cartridge, a great piece of hardware/software that pushes the sound palette of the Game Boy chip beyond its limits.
Another fundamental piece I had fun with is the PO-35 Speak, which is used to sample free vocal tracks found on the interwebs and play with them through vocal synthesis.
To mesh everything together and escape the rigid pattern grid-structure I used the OP-1 for some hyper delayed phrases here and there.
The last track of the demo is special in itself, as it's purely a jam with just nanoloop mono synced to the Korg Volca Modular.
