Ninety-Nine by Birocratic & G Mills
In 2021, having recently moved into the same building in Brooklyn, Birocratic & G Mills naturally started collaborating frequently. Since both producers share a love for hip-hop sampling techniques, and play their share of live instruments, they formed a concept: write and record a collection of drum-free samples, then flip them into an albums' worth of beats. The results - including some of the original samples and their eventual flips - comprise the first collaborative tape from the pair of producers, named 'Ninety-Nine' - jokingly named after what they say every evening before bidding each other goodnight.
