Luminous was originally released on vinyl and CD in 1991 on Imaginary Records.
This digital download version contains two bonus tracks...acoustic versions of 'A Luminous Kind Of Guy' and 'Her True And Perfect Serpent', which have never before been released.
"This recording is a fragment from my home studio sketchbook…a collection of previously unreleased songs which have been preserved in their original raw state.
The rule was to use only first takes and to move from the initial idea to final mix in as short a time as possible.

Founder of Be-Bop Deluxe in 1973, guitarist Bill Nelson wrote all of the bands material. Signed to EMI, the band released five studio albums and scored a top ten UK hit with the single "Ships In The Night."
In 1979 Bill disbanded Be-Bop Deluxe and launched Red Noise.
As a solo artist he's worked with David Sylvian, Harold Budd and Cabaret Voltaire as well as producing The Skids and Gary Numan.
