Its these rainy winter days that make me think of you the most and while you're
halfway across the country I'm alone out by the coast
and its hard to say i'm sorry for those stupid things i said when every word you ever said to me is still ringing in my head
the sun is rising and I'm still trying to think this out
but i never thought that i'd miss you as much as i do now

its these summer starry nights that left me safely in your arms
and while i was privy to your short-comings, i was a sucker for your charms
and i've been writing all this down so it can be safely stashed away
and we can put our past behind us and just try to be friends someday
its been so long since we could see each other everyday
i miss the days when i could walk to you and say....
the postcards and the letters are all that i have left of you to pull me through
