Closes the door and tries to unwind
Yesterday caught her without a warning
She learned her lesson, she’s ready this time

Once you’ve survived "the worst that can happen"
There’s no disaster____ you can’t take on
But everyday problems leave her all rattled
Wondering where her courage has flown

But she has right now
And love winds like ribbon around her
Makes her feel better somehow
As hard as she works at keeping out the cold
Fall always turns her world around
But she has right now, come on right now

The day brings potential, new beginnings
A long list of loose ends and things to be done
Right on its heels an ache so familiar
Blocks all the light right back to square one.

There is a shadow that blooms
In the darkness
And it waits to catch you unguarded
And consume you
