Mid Winter from TILT by Bertie Anderson Haggart
In a way December, Midwinter was the begining of TiLT. I wrote and recorded this song back in 2021 for the Muso Mums Musical Advent Calendar. I composed it whilst walking my beloved dog Woody along the freezing wintery cliff tops in Cromer. The song also became a part of Poppyland Snogs, Life On A CLiff Edge and the priginal recording is on the Poppyland albumm too.
It was the following spring that I started to ponder composing my own four seasons..
On this recording I added the wonderful double bass playing of local musician Justin Myers (who also appears on Something New and Colour of Summer) and tinkered with the original recording for the TiLT album.
Bertie Anderson Haggart is an internationally acclaimed, award winning musician and composer. She grew up in North Norfolk where her musical journey began. Known most for her work with Bowjangles, the comedy theatrical string quartet and The BeauBowBelles a swing folk band.
