Lyrics
(That’s what the story is)
Babble. Babble. Babble on…
The words we use don’t mean the same thing
I could say “up” and you would hear “down.”
The words we use don’t mean the same thing
I could draw a smile and you would see a frown
Whatever “they” say: that’s what the story is
Whatever “they” say: that’s what the story is
Whatever “they” say: that’s what the story is
Whatever “they” say: that’s what the story is
Babble. Babble. Babble on…
Anyone who wants to reach out and touch someone
Can reach out and touch someone, anyone*
Anyone who wants to reach out and touch someone
Can reach out and touch the one they want
Whatever “they” say: that’s what the story is
Whatever “they” say: that’s what the story is
Whatever “they” say: that’s what the story is
Whatever “they” say: that’s what the story is
Babble. Babble. Babble on…
Who gets in their car, who gets in?
And drives to the Capitol?
Who gets in their car, who gets in?
And hits** the barricades? And goes up in flames?
Notes:
* It turns out that unregulated social media is the stupidest, most dangerous thing that humankind has developed so far. Sure, the idea of using nuclear weapons on humans (again) is horrifying, but with the right multi-platform campaign, a majority of the population could be convinced that the fallout would be good for their skin and be a much safer alternative to vaccines.
** In April of 2021, a young man named Noah Green drove a blue Nissan Altima into a barricade outside of the recently-attacked U.S. Capitol, striking several Capitol Police officers (one of whom would later succumb to his injuries), then hopped out of the car (armed with a knife) and lunged at some other cops, who then shot him dead. Green was a happy, well-liked kid throughout school, but since finishing undergrad, he had exhibited symptoms of severe mental illness - no doubt exacerbated by the repeated head trauma sustained while playing high school and college football - and was subsequently “radicalized” by the nonsense being pumped into his brain 24/7 over Facebook. While there were attempts to tie Mr. Green to the Nation of Islam, he was not involved with them in real life. He was a sick kid who became suddenly obsessed with his own dea of the NOI and subsequently committed suicide-by-cop. Another example of stochastic terrorism.
