The One from PILLOWTALK by The Single Helix & Erica Rose Sauder
I was putting you to sleep. You were tired and it was in the first year of our relationship. I had my acoustic nylon string guitar in the bedroom. I picked it up and sat next to you on the bed I started playing a few chords. I began to hum a melody and find lyrics in that melody. This song was born, and I dedicated it to you.
One of the most interesting to produce, I had a great time with the strings and backing vocals on this song, perhaps the most epic on the record. I wanted it to grow and ascend into a "full orchestra" sound. The tail end of the song has a very biting sound throughout the building guitar solo that I really enjoy. It musically states what the words mean.
