My Vow by Beev Rations

Relationships can be specially challenging in times of sanitary quarantine, but the pressure of the lockdown can also lead you to a clear resolution to be who you truly are. This is what "My Vow" suggests us.

Since this global confinement started, the world has changed in a stunning way and so we. And we're still changing from day to day, as the world we'll see tomorrow wont be the one we once knew. And in between, we have the present, the now.

Here and now is precisely where Beev Rations meet us with this new single, titled My Vow, a clean, thrilling and envolving folk-rock song, which sees Alan James playing almost all the instruments again, after the great experience with "Feeling Place", which lyrics has -by the way- a strong connection with the words that Alan wrote for My Vow, to the point that both songs could be seen as two aspects of the same theme.

Like a deep calling from the heart to live and look from the essential thing (we saw that in the last EP, True Nature), My Vow expresses a sincere resolution in intentions, values and priorities, in the midst of these intense and urgent times. A vow that surely is being felt and taken by many others. The official video is pretty eloquent to present all these things in an amusing and charming way.

The lockdown in our homes is the physical place where millions of us are compelled to live these days. But this situation has many more (and deep) layers and one of them is that we also are compelled to stop, meet ourselves and look inside, wether we want it or not. And there, inside of us lies our lights and shadows. It's pretty clear that under pressure we put out what we actually have inside, without covers or disimulations. And this goes in a higher level of evidence in the relationships field, that is one of the most challenging nowadays.

In My Vow, Alan James places a big mirror in front of us to see us with clarity and without guilty. This honesty lead us to find that we can't really function well with others if we ourselves are not well. And we can't expect that the others give us what we don't feel by ourselves (that wouldn't be actually love, not an unconditional one, but a contract). The same way, we can't give what we haven't. Comprehending this, then may arise the resolution, the vow, to be responsible for our own lives and take care of our wellbeing. And in the end, this way one could really love the others as oneself. Cos one thing can't be with the other.

This song can be downloaded for free in Bandcamp and SoundCloud, as a means through which Beev Rations wish to contribute to the sharing and cooperating spirit that is heavenly blooming in so many people, who are aware that, as societies and human kind, everyone has to offer the best from them, for none can get out of this alone.

And yet, there's no way for the collective to sort this challenge without every individual feeling good by him/herself. So this is also an invitation for you to discard fear (the most lethal virus) and, instead, staying safe, confident and glad in your Heart.

Clearly we understand that we are all in the same ship and it's better to row together if we're gonna still sailing in this planet. Hopefully, everything will be alright just being really ourselves, acting naturally, newly connected with our hearts to live a good and joyful live together. That's what My Vow suggest us. Lets do it. "Creer es crear" (Believing is creating), they say in Spain.
