I spot a blue jay with a worm in her beak
Strawberries growing wild at my feet
Patriarche Park has seen me on my knees


Who am I today
I am a lotus
I took my medicine
I hope you don’t notice
I’m from a town that no ones heard of
A place where people like to hurt each other
Some scarecrows I grew up with tried to change me
They were successful in their goals


But, now I’m cold as black ice
But, the heat on my face is brightening
Against the skyline I am
I look like the night in May
