Is the day devouring the night
Or darkness overpowering the light
The argument between the black and white
A conundrum over who is wrong and right

The power over who has right of way
The louder voice who has the final say
Who says there is no other way to pray
The final word keeps other truths at bay

Where the light
Fights the darkness to be freed
There are devils
There are angels
It's up to me
Which one I feed

The tethered bird of reason cannot fly
