After our last few full on releases we get back to psy progressive business with the PATHWAY EP from STEVE OOOD..
With a resume that includes forest tunes as Banyan - in collaboration with Zzzbing and others - and of course a string of classic floorfillers as part of the legendary OOOD going back over 20 years - (not to mention their recent psytech triumphs on Iboga) Steve here delivers a trio of chunky, funky bangers..
Kicking things off is TRANSCEND THE RACE with a deep pulse and clattering percussion, woven through with understated melodies that call & respond.. moving on to the titular PATHWAY, beginning with gorgeous gated pads & vocals which dissolve into a pool of loveliness before a diamond hard kick & bass propel us onto the dancefloor.. the psychedelic dessert here is CHANGELING, a dense, rhythmic slab of sound shot through with echoing tribal voices and swelling synths
