Slowburning by Baxter Stone

Baxter Stone is an Australian musician.

Slowburning is the result of a collaboration with Baxter Stone and Alun Lane. While Baxter was living in London.

Mostly Baxter's compositions Alun contributed the track 'You Don't Know Me' and an instrumental called 'Slowburn'. Baxter came up wth melody and lyric and hence the name of the album 'Slowburning'

The two musicians met at an open mic jam night in London that Baxter was hosting.

Alun Lane guitarist and multi instrumentalist who contributed thought provoking arrangements and instrumentation played drums, bass, guitar, keyboards.

The material was recorded over a period of 12 months during 2011 and 2012. Baxter had to return to Australia in November 2012 so most of the material only got performed a handful of times live with Alun Lane on guitar, Dave Williams on bass, Mufa on drums and Paul Handley on keys. Only a handful of CDs were ever produced and sold out.

Baxter performs some of the songs with his current band The Chocolate Dogs and solo.

Fortunately all the original multi-tracks were saved on a hard disk and with better mastering facilities at our disposal this remastered version preserves the charm and magic of the seasons at greater clarity and fidelity.

Baxter's music is a journey that visits blues, bluegrass, alt-country and rock and has been known to write a pop song with a mean left hook.
