Blackshores from Waves by bassic chill

The first three tracks of the album form a connected whole, with Blackshores bringing them together at the end. Blackshores takes its name from a town in a Call of Cthulhu RPG campaign the composer played for half a year. Just like the story, the music begins calmly and gradually builds in tension, leading to a powerful finale.

The first part of the piece was born spontaneously during a photo session — while posing with the guitar, the composer began to play and discovered the opening theme. He had to stop the session, record the idea, and only then return to the shoot.

The main motif came one evening while he was playing for his beloved, who had a difficult day. It was an improvised moment of comfort — and that’s when the melody appeared.
