I was 5 or 6 when you came home
While I was
Playing with the other kids in the park
After work you went to buy me an Easter egg
I was crying
Now I don’t even know why
But you kept staring at me with sadness in your gaze
You must have thought
“It could have been a nice surprise”
And I was mad at something, I didn’t even thank you
Wish I could go back and hug you for that
