Into my eyes
Like a gnat to a light
Where it planted itself
On the shores of my mind
Tied to disillusioned boughs
Made into a stake
Drive deeper the thoughts
That keep it awake

How it drivels

Makes you sickened
Some demons need no disguise

It howls like a banshee
On the hunt for its prey
With a never sated hunger
And a tongue that persuades me
To wonder
I'm lost
As it whispers sweet nothings
In my ear
I get a little closer

Deep in its gaze
Sets a little red light
Where it opened my heart
And then settled my mind
Its mouth, open wide
It bid me let go of my fears
But none were there with me
