The skyline is on fire, dear,
With the exhaustion of lovers here.
I've never seen ambition burn so high...
Moonlight never saw this twice.
Waited for you and that attitude until near half past the sunset
But I swore to the village recluse I'd teach her to let her hair down loose.

I know a phoenix rising, it's not surprising.
This is our last dance under a skyline burning.

You'll never know, but the way you promise it makes this rope knot once over a blue moon setting.

The horizon, just a means to an end
Has a wicked way of setting flame
To the way in which we take our flight
Halfway thru to midnight.
