Projections II by Headless Kross

This is the second part of HK's trilogy of albums. Again this is four tracks of absolute heaviosity, propelled by thundering riffs and the most destructive rhythm section I can think of going right now.

This took feckin ages to sort out (mainly cos I'm an idiot) but finally got copies of this up for sale, even though it's been out for ages!

Opening with a total straight-up sludge doomer which reminds me loads of vocalist/bassist Derek's old band ULTIMO DRAGON (Glasgow metal guys will be well acquainted with them, they played every heavy gig for a couple of years and were fuckin ace, also featuring Tobin from Ommadon and Snowblood); smacks you right between the eyes then spends an additional five minutes falling apart and smashing the shit out of everything around it.

Headless Kross do this a lot on this record: things seem like they're gonna be a regular stoner/doom/sludge tune then they spend 10 minutes battering the same riff, ending up somewhere in space, often coming back round to the same theme but never just being repetitive for the sake of it or through lack of ideas.
