the first bird flew off the line and his mom saw how he shined
another bird saw, wished to be just like him
mom gave up that kin

so little birdie left her nestie and found a home within
a fearful monster who took her tail in just to give it for a spin
and then little birdie, how scared she must be to find that her nest was no longer there
what an unlucky pair

ha, cry on, kid! keep it up
let's see how long the sand falls 'til it forms a sandcastle

the cat drooled, sick of the rule
but she knew she couldn't stay
onwards to find a den to stay in
"hey, where have you been?"

but little kitty met a beastie who took her lives within
'twas a killer steel polished and it peeled her- oh, where do i begin?
and then little kitty, how kind she must be to find that she had stood still with no care
it's just life's funny share

the game goes on forever in this cruel city
