Seaweed Dreams from I, Autumnus by Autumn Dawn Leader
'One word can make a million images...' Oh, yes it can! In the instance of this next song, that word was 'seaweed'.
Whether or not it was really just a jest, one night after one of his gigs that I had attended, that same Andy Griffiths with whom I had the wonderful honour of writing The Bridge of Abermaw, challeneged me to write a song about - or inspired by - of all things, SEAWEED.
But, words are excpeionally powerful. And, what was, most likely, inteded as a joke, became for me an incantation, an invocation, a summons. Conjuring up dreams. Conjuring Seaweed Dreams.
